Our Story
The Holy and Noble Koran Society was founded by the respected British Imam and Qari, Shaykh Imtiaz Hussain in 1992. The Shaykh has been teaching the Holy Koran for 35 years in Blackburn, Lancashire and has over one thousand students. Many of his students are now serving as Imams or Trustees of leading Islamic Educational Organizations, and are teaching and spreading the knowledge of the Holy Koran actively worldwide. The aims of the society is to produce Modern Qaris & Imams who can promote purity, unity and beauty globally!
Throughout the years, the Society has targeted its activities primarily towards Modern Muslims, especially the youth. Via its various projects, the Society continues to strive to help new generations of Muslims to channel their energies and capabilities appropriately, enabling young people to become assets for modern society as a whole, through providing leadership courses and beneficial, social avenues for them to develop into good Samaritans.
The Society currently has three institutes running with Campuses in England, Pakistan and Canada, and its vision is to work together with likeminded organizations to promote Muslim Unity, Interfaith Harmony and love and peace, that is greatly needed currently in the world!
